One of the thoughts I had was it's easier to implement this sort of thing in videogames because of how scripted the story is. I think it will be challenging to recreate this type of thing for RPGs purely due to the nature of the medium. This sounds kinda like Boons from some games where the Dm through an in universe source, be it a god, organization, or what have you, grants the player a special bonus for fulfilling some plot or for a spectacular event. The question is how much foreknowledge would players have in this situation and how would the Dm try to fit it in their game.

Communication and stuff lol Joemetricshapeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00489106255968462183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6196194568636799598.post-54917024905685097082016-03-26T18:23:53.829-04:002016-03-26T18:23:53.829-04:00It's just a cool little mechanic! It's just a cool little mechanic! I need to work on faction inclusion for the relationship dice, but so far I've used it to give the players, and their characters, a few bonuses, and also sometimes advice on the current adventure, or even some information about the larger plot, or things that I've noticed their characters taking an interest in.
